Not a chapter, but a poll

Doing the first poll just to want you guys to decide the skill name. Omnipotent or Universal? Which one do you prefer?

      If the thread is 'undefeatable', Omnipotent.
      If the thread can be used in a varied array of ways, Universal.

    Omnipotent suggests the thread is invincible and all powerful, which I doubt it is.
    Universal suggests it has many uses, like a Swiss army knife.

    They both have different meanings so you cant exactly chose between them without first knowing more about the skill

      I think omni thread sounds nicer as well, and keeps the meaning just fine too

    I doubt he got the ultimate spider thread at just that stage of evolution, so it should be Universal.

    I prefer Omni-thread, as in all/multi-purpose thread. The next evolution after it is the final one.

    Omnipotent never sounds good in a name, great for short descriptions, but doesn't sound nice in a name

    The question should be "what did the author write" since this is a translation. From the "Chinese" words used, it reads "Thousand (Abilities/Uses) Thread" so I'll go with "Universal" since the name is for "uses" not "invincibility" which is what "omnipotent" implies.

    all-purpose thread makes more sense, I think than omnipotent/all-mighty and universal.

      ^This. 万能 literally means "ten-thousand abilities", which indicates "can do *practically* anything" it's not the same with omnipotent, which means "can do *absolutely* anything"

    How about just Omni thread, doesn't indicate that its invincible and seems to "roll off the tongue" better than omnipotent thread.

    The adjective "Omnipotent" makes the Skill sound more god-like, since omnipotent is often associated with God/Gods in stories.

    Then again, Universal Thread sounds cool...
